Many have wondered why Ukraine-based mega pastor and author, Pastor Sunday Adelaja has seemingly detached himself from the 'charismatic group' of pastors which he associated with for several years until recently. He is currently known for his critical stance against charismatic pastors around the world and especially in his home country, Nigeria. He has in recent times been critical of renowned Nigerian pastors such as Pastor EA Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Dr Paul Enenche, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Apostle Johnson Suleman and Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor. Pastor Adelaja's modus operandi is to use video clips of the ministrations of these men of God to criticise their teachings or practices. This is done on both Youtube and on Facebook broadcasts sometimes spanning over three hours. In recent times, he has featured OAP Daddy Freeze as the team up to analyse others. Often, Pastor Sunday gives room to callers to call-in to share their stories. The callers would abuse men of God with Pastor Sunday having a good laugh.


NAIRA CHRONICLES has obtained a letter written by Apostle Ulysses (pictured below), the former spiritual father of Pastor Sunday Adelaja. The letter is self-explanatory.

Apostle Tuff Ulysses lambasts Sunday Adelaja

Highlights of the letter include the following:

- A pastor is supposed to be one of sexual purity but you cannot say this about yourself.

- You have defiled the sanctity of marriage with your immoral behaviour.

- You committed incest with your spiritual children.

- You covet your neighbour's wives.

- Deception for months. Although you called me and told that you wanted me to know, you were still committing unholy acts.

- Lying- numerous distortions to me.

- Pride instead of a spiritual humility.

- Hypocrisy
