NOTHING WILL BE WASTED

NOTHING WILL BE WASTED

Three Women: Naomi who is the older woman and Ruth, (would have) who was her daughter-in-law  Orpah who was her other daughter-in-law. Three women whose commonality was pain. Pain is a strange company-keeper. It brings the oddest people together. There is a secret fraternity that exist amongst those who have been in pain that is mind- boggling. It transcends their backgrounds and the colour of their skin. When you've been through certain things you feel for other people who have been through those things because you can relate to them. I personally don't like to have a whole lot to do with people who have been through nothing. It's nothing against them, neither am l jealous of them, l just find it difficult relating with them.  The parts of me that l need to have known, touched and fellowship, are tied up, not in the successes of my life but in the struggles of my life. For God has done more through my struggles. He's done more through my struggles than He's ever done through my successes. And lf l look carefully at my successes, they are made out of the ingredients of my struggles and pain. You can never know my successes until you understand my struggles. My struggles were the pathways that led me into my successes. So lf you are gonna have fellowship with somebody, you have to choose your friends and make sure that they've had something die in their life. If you've never had anything go wrong, l don't like to hear you preach to me, because your preaching has not been balanced by pain and failure. If you've never had anything die in your life, don't counsel me because you really don't understand me. The thing is, you don't know why l am like l am until you've been where l have been. If you've never had anything die in your life, don't sit there and tell me, "be a man, take it easy, don't cry".
You don't know what l am taking and enduring. You just don't understand . Just because you read some books and took a psychology class doesn't mean you are ready to deal with the issues of my life. There is something about going through death, loss, disappointment and misfortune, that once you go through them, you need to make sense of the happenstances in your life, since you can't change or alter them. At least you need to be able to think that there's some greater good that's going to come out of it. l need to justify that l didn't go through this kind of pain for nothing. I need to be able to feel like something good is gonna come out of this. If l can't do that, then l feel like l am a victim or being victimised. Hence l will forever feel sorry for myself because l have unresolved issue out of my past.
I need to know that some demon didn't get loose in my life and wreck my life. And that it's not a mistake or an accident, God didn't fall asleep on the job and the devil came in and wrecked havoc in my life.
I am sure Ruth and Naomi felt the same  too. Life hadn't been fair to them, neither had God. Couldn't He have given them a prior notice that they were going to lose all that they had worked for. At least that could have helped psyched themselves to face the pain. Why the seeming silence of God when His children were going through a painful experience. Was it difficult for the bread of life to provide them bread? Was He sleeping or on vacation?
Sometimes we have such discourses with ourselves.

I just need to remind you thatGod never sleeps nor slumbers. He's in complete control and He knows who betrayed you, walked out of your life or molested you. He knows who rejected you. He knows about your bills, your degree and knows you are searching for a job. He know's about your prayer for a child. When its all been said and done, you will understand why you have to go through what you are going through, to get to where you are going. NOTHING YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH WILL BE WASTED.
