Brazilian football legend, Pele has been admitted in hospital after collapsing on Thursday as a result of what doctors term as exhaustion. 77 year-old Pele was due to travel to London for a dinner this weekend in his honour by the Football Writers' Association (FWA).
Pele is currently on fluids while being monitored by a team of expert doctors. In recent years, the legend has been to the hospital for other ailments including prostrate and kidney issues. He is regarded in many quarters as the greatest player of all time having scored 1,281 goals in 1,363 in a career spanning 21 years. He had 91 caps for Brazil and scored 77 goals in the process. He won the 1958, 1962 and 1972 World Cups with Brazil.
