*Late Barr Hosea Ibi laid to rest today in Takum*
Late Barr Hosea Ibi was today laid to rest in Takum town, Takum LG of Taraba State. The burial attracted dignitaries from far and near outside and within the state, few among were His Excellency's Governor of Taraba State Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku and his counterpart Governor Orthom Samuel of Benue state, Speaker Taraba state House of Assembly Rt Hon Abel Peter, National Assembly members, Members Taraba state house of Assembly, members Benue state house of Assembly, Commissioners, Advisers, Chairmen, etc. Late Hosea Ibi was a member Taraba state house of Assembly representing Takum 1 until his death.
Testimonies of him were giving from various quarters and behold he was a man of integrity who match his words with actions
His Excellency Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku in his tribute said two years ago he told his brother Gov Orthom that God has brought the two of them together not knowing that they were going to face horrible times together, he on behalf of the people of Taraba State thank orthom for the love and continues solidarity shown to him. Ishaku said indeed today is a sad day, saying he was with Hosea Ibi one hour before his abduction and him and Hon Mark Useini were the ones who advised him to go home and rest for the day little did he know that that was the last moment with him.
Ishaku said for such thing to happen in a quite town like Takum then that shows how much the security of this nation has diminished. We are in a difficult time were truth is no longer acceptable times were people are wicked he said.
Gov Ishaku quoted saying that among the leaders who runs his mouth in the public today was once asked by him on the law he is hoping to implement and the leader said what he is doing was the best for the people and just to turn around in the public to say another thing else, what a world.
Ishaku said he will do his best because the system is failing because you are called a Executive but the seal is not under your orders and when you gives an order you will be told that they have to clear it from Abuja, so what then are you. Ishaku Salute the likes of Senator Murry Bruce, Dino Malaye, Shehu Sani for speaking up the truth and standing by the people.
We are here to mourn and lay our brother to rest but must also say that we will forgive but justice must as well be done. Ishaku asked the people to be patience because everyone has his or her on time and when the time comes everyone will answer to the call, he urged religious leaders to pray for the salvaging of this country from the wicked once. His Excellency Governor Samuel Orthom of Benue state in his tribute said he is deeply touched by the grosom murder of the young legislature, he said they are affected as well because he Hosea is in the team who worked for the successful passing of beneficial laws in Taraba. Orthom said Hosea has made his mark and will be remembered and pray that God will protect his family left behind and let God fill the gap.
Gov Orthom said vengeance belongs to God, but let justice be done because God is a God of justice, Orthom said he also came so that it will further strengthen the boundary between him and his brother Darius and pray that God will use two of them for his glory among men. He appreciated the people of Taraba for standing firm on the anti open grazing bill and said they are resilient and won't give into any threat
My elder brother was the bread winner of the family, he was so caring, a humble man full of respect he assumed been a father after our father left, though his life was sniffed out after he begged and offered to give them anything they demand but little did we know that his life was what they wanted. May God comfort us (Sister)
The news came from different sources unrefined and finally it was proven and the end was death, the late young man was one who consult widely on issues and had zero tolerance for the abuse of truth, we have missed a gem and our party shall forever remember him for the entire contribution in the growth of our Dear party PDP ( Hon Victor Bala Kona PDP chairman)
It is indeed a sad moment and the saddest event in Taraba state House of Assembly, we sympathize with the people of Benue, Adamawa,and plateau state and many other state. We recalled that a statement was credited to a prominent man in this country which followed by blood bath in Numan and ask that this must be brought to and end by the FG. The abductors of Hosea Ibi must be fished out and be brought to book. He Thank His Excellency Governor Darius Ishaku for all his support towards making sure that Ibi lived and even after death that he rest well. We shall continue to miss you we wish that someone gives us a sign that Hosea Ibi is still alive but death is a sad end that we must all chew, may his Departure draw us closer to God (Rt Hon Abel Peter Diah Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly)
I met late Barr Hosea father in 1991 he was a police officer in Mararaba, a person who showed me love and encouraged me to push on for my quest to serve his people not knowing that my path will cross with that of the son.
Lawyers tells you the way it is and doesn't give into praise singing and most atimes it has been misconcept but he was a humble and gentle man to a core, we are greatly pained and will miss you. The cross before the two Governors Ishaku and Orthom in the middle belt is enormous and you must stand because the enemies are gathering in high places and if it means our last blood to be giving we will stand with you (Sen Bwacha)
It could be recalled that Hosea was kidnapped on the 30th December 2017 in Takum and all efforts to secure his release proved abortive even after paying series of ransoms to the abductors but life is only but a dream and that sad afternoon his journey of life ended, May His soul rest In peace.
Death they say is a necessary end that will surely come one day, hot or cold all must taste of it
