MICHY BATSHUAYI may be sold by Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports pundit Alan Smith.
Batshuayi has often been overlooked by boss Antonio Conte, even when summer arrival Alvaro Morata has been unavailable to start.
The Belgian striker was left on the bench as Morata missed Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Huddersfield on Tuesday, with Eden Hazard deployed in a false nine role.
Smith believes Conte is keen to strengthen his squad in January and that Batshuayi may be sacrificed to attain the funds to go after his top targets.
“He will want to get more players in in January, get a bigger squad,” Smith said.
“He’s obviously got very little faith in Batshuayi if he’s not going to play him when it does come to rotating.

“So maybe he would leave the club in January if he could use him as a bargaining tool.
“He hasn’t rotated as much as a few of the other teams at the top there and it’s difficult if you don’t.
“I know last season they didn’t but they didn’t have the Champions League to contend with and they were winning and everything was going according to plan.
